Victoria is such a nice town. I want to retire here.
Today we just spent the day walking around. We started across the street from our hotel at St Ann's school. Such lovely gardens and flowers. We were getting in the way of a group of ladies celebrating the class of '65 reunion! I wonder what it was like to go to a boarding school at a catholic school in the 60s.
They met a peacock.
Then we headed up to Beacon Hill park and let the kids play and be kids.
We got to the top of the hill and saw lovely views but ... what caught their interest was the 7 foot penis like thing. Nadia and Jack are hanging off Peter's penis. (Their words not mine.)
Down the hill and to the beach. We loved all the driftwood.
Then a walk down this looooong breakwater to a lighthouse in order to earn lunch.
Another park, ice cream at Fisherman's Warf and hopped on the water taxi to Chinatown.
The the best part of the day .... The Victoria Bug Museum. Absolutely awesome because the tour guide was amazing. Kids got to touch and hold insects and ask lots of questions.
End of the day, headed to Goldstream Provincial Park for camping.
