Decent campground in a provincial park. Canadians seem to try a bit harder. Nadia and Peter went to a presentation on birding the previous evening and learned a lot of cool stuff.
Great playground too.
We went on a lovely nature hike in Goldsteam. Found a big log.
I haven't found great trail runs in Canada so far. I hope to find some before I head back to the US. I remember a friend telling me that he loves running in new places that he visits while traveling. I know what he means now. It has been an incredibly fulfilling experience running in all these breathtakingly beautiful places. I am so used to this natural beauty right now that I've started being critical (how dare I), passing judgment that this trail is not quite as beautiful as the one two days ago. In years to come, I will look back on this with so much pleasure! I've run on more hills in the past couple of weeks than in the last couple of years. I can't say that I am yet a lover of hills but I am getting stronger.
Starting to feel like we are in a Pooh Bear story.
Found a beatiful waterfall.
Lots of great things in which to climb.
Then headed north to another campsite on Vancouver Island, Cowichan River Province. We spent the evening swimming in the river.
