I must have gone for a run this morning but I don't remember it very well. (I am writing this a couple of days after the fact.) Oh yeah, I remember now, I found a trail next to the river but it was an obstacle course: logs, roots, rocks. I lasted on it for a mile but I thought I would twist my ankle so I went on the road for the rest of the way.
More river play this morning and then on our way to Oregon.
I found this incredible park in Oregon called Silver Falls. Amazingly beautiful and well maintained in the Cascade Mountains. Apparently one of the parks established by FDR during the Depression. There are ten falls in this park on the Sliver and its tributaries. The "best one" is the South Falls which is right next to the campground. You can walk BEHIND it and there are awesome caves there carved by the water.
Absolutely amazing! I wrote before that I am starting to take beauty for granted but I was lying. I can never take beauty like this for granted.
