Great morning trail run among the redwoods but a bit spooky because there was no one else on the trail and supposedly this is bear country!
Tunnel on the trail.
Stopped by the drive-through tree but could not drive through because the truck was too wide so we walked through.
Cool carved redwoods in this place. The kids liked the tree houses.
We stopped to say Hello to the elk
Campsites were pretty full (Friday, July 3rd) so we stopped for the first time in a private campsite. Honey Bear, somewhere off the 101 in Oregon. Lovely grounds and we found a pitch in a meadow next to a stream but unfortunately Peter and Nadia were both super allergic to the grass.
So we spend the evening at the beach. Picnic at dinner time. Kids flew kites. Beach was gorgeous and deserted (because we had to climb the dunes and run across the highway to get there. )
